The Mural Process
1) Let's Talk About Your Vision
Start out by filling out my mural quote form which gives me a a great idea what you’re looking for in your mural. Have photos, dimensions of your wall(s), and design ideas ready to send. Then schedule your free, 30-minute consultation to discuss your business, your space, your ideas, and what you hope to accomplish with your mural. We’ll also discuss timeline and find a time to paint.
2) Design Deposit
I require a 50% deposit before starting any design work. Once a deposit has been paid I will send over 1-2 design concepts for your mural(s). Two rounds of edits are included. Anything outside of that will be charged at my hourly rate of $100/hr. I will mock up your design in your space you can get a real sense of what the mural will look and feel like.
3) Time to Paint
After the design is approved, I’ll come over and paint your mural(s)! Once the mural(s) are completed, the remaining 50% payment will be due. Then we celebrate because you'll have a custom mural that makes your space feel more personal, distinctive, and complete!

Residential mural pricing depends on the wall's dimensions, surface condition, design complexity, materials, accessibility, and project requirements. Every project is different, so I provide custom quotes based on your specific space and vision. View my mural pricing page to learn more.

The timeline depends on the size and complexity of the design, the surface, and the working conditions. Smaller projects may take a few days, while larger or more detailed murals can take 1-2 weeks or more. I'll discuss the estimated timeline with you before the project begins.

Absolutely! Your mural can be inspired by your favorite colors, places, plants, animals, patterns, or personal interests. Inspiration photos are a great starting point, and I'll use them to help develop a custom concept tailored to your space rather than simply copying someone else's artwork.

Murals can be created in bedrooms, nurseries, living rooms, sunrooms, home offices, dining areas, basements, and other suitable spaces. Depending on the surface and conditions, outdoor walls, ceilings, garage doors, and fences may also be possibilities.

I'm based in the Charleston, South Carolina area and serve clients in Charleston, Summerville, and the surrounding Lowcountry. If your project is farther away, reach out to discuss travel and availability.

Absolutely! While I'm based in the Charleston, South Carolina area, I'm open to traveling across the country and even internationally. Travel availability and expenses depend on the project's location, size, and scope. If you have a space in mind outside the Lowcountry, reach out and tell me about your project. Keep in mind travel expenses will occur: Flights, rental cars, accommodations, etc.

Start with the approximate wall dimensions, photos of the space, your location, and a general idea of what you'd like. If you have brand guidelines or inspiration images, those are helpful, too. You can fill out my mural inquiry form with this infornation. We can also discuss the rest during your free consultation.

Yes! I offer a free, 30-minute, no-pressure consultation to discuss your ideas, answer initial questions, and explore whether we're a good fit for your project.

I recommend reaching out at least 8 weeks before your ideal project start date. Larger or more complex commercial murals may require additional lead time for design, planning, and scheduling. If you have a specific deadline or grand opening coming up, the earlier you reach out, the better! I'll work with you to determine a timeline that fits your project.

With proper surface preparation, quality materials, and appropriate care, a professionally painted mural can last for many years, 10-20+. Indoor murals generally experience less wear from weather, while exterior murals are exposed to sun, rain, humidity, and other environmental factors that can affect their longevity. I'll select materials and finishes suited to your space to help your mural look its best for as long as possible.

This is what the free 30 minute consultation call is for! You will be able to show me the space over a virtual call. I can understand and visualize the space just as well as on a call versus seeing it in person. If I feel it’s needed, after putting down a deposit, I will go see the space in person.
